I CHANGED MY MIND

 I woke up thinking I would go for a ride
in my hot air balloon

I would ride high in the sky
telling the cares of this world good bye

No I changed my mind
I am going to run away and join a circus with a big band

I want to climb high on the trapeze
 to see if I can fly at the same time sneeze

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Oh I have changed my mind
I think I will join the rodeo

I could be in Amarillo by morning
Maybe bury a cadillac on Old Route 66

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From there I will go to  Albuquerque
I will spend all morning walking in Old Town

I will visit San Felipe de Neri Church
how many prayers has God heard and answered there

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On to the Pacific ocean I will  go
I have read it is the largest - deepest and oldest ocean in the world

I wonder if I could take wing
and fly across its width or swim its depths

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh I have changed my mind again
I will go to Houston on the coast there become an astronaut

Once there I can fly away
 soaring to planets and stars - the universe exploring

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Oh heck  I have changed my mind again
I think I will take a ride in my hot air balloon
