They say a smile is infectious,
That you catch them like the flu,
Well I would like to say in my experience,
a YAWN's infectious too!

I was at school today,
It was our 1st lesson of the morning,
 When My friend Billy started,
A Mexican wave of us all yawning.

We weren't particularly tired,
 But Billy started something going,
He tried to do it on the sly,
But we all saw it without him knowing!

Billy passed it onto Dale,
Who passed it onto Zoe,
Zoe sent it over to Joan,
Who passed it onto Chloe.

Before we knew it we'd all yawned,
Even the teacher then got infected,
I think yawns should come with a warning,
We should all be yawn protected.

So when you feel tired,
Please keep your yawn in,
For once it gets out it passes on,
It's something you do not want to begin.
