Spirit
This essence of life;
The seed of God;
Dwelling within this flesh.
Freed at death to return;
Return to the Creator.
How much wheat will follow;
How much chaff will be burnt?
Released from the chains,
Rising from the dust,
The Phoenix within breathes.
Just wondering… imaging…
Smiling at the promises.
Pain, disease, darkness,
Bondage, weakness, death;
All fall away from spirit.
Purity finally achieved,
Laying down my life
At the cross of my Christ.
Perfect reflection in the Son
In the surrender of my life.
Reunited; love unbounded;
Walking as a living sacrifice.
Willing to yield, self swallowed;
Bowing before the King,
Spirit lives eternally.
