I CAN FLY

I gaze out the window
And here's what  I see
Beneath the plane's sturdy wings
Adorning the radiant blue sky
And rising from endless deep rivers.

I see faces carved in billowing mountains
Resting in peace
Unaware of me.
So many times I have flown
alone
With shades drawn
And eyes shut
So much did I miss.

With tears
I regret those precious years
Poor fool that I was
To miss all that bliss.

Soon the flight will be ended
This time there's a memory to save
The life I saw in the sky today
Can now be cherished
All the way to my grave.

Fasten your seatbelts
We'd liike to thank you
For flying with us today
Says the pilot
As our plane descends
To the "real world" below.
