FLOODING WINDSOR

Am Lake Erie
Came hard and fast onto Trenton
Flowed into Lake St. Clair
Drowning Windsor and points beyond
On way
To better things
Than Detroit has to offer
To live in West
Killed most of Canada in rage
USA too
Clear to North Dakota
Even relatives in Minnesota
Had no mercy for
To get somewhere better
Vancouver came to mind
Water power of atomic missile
Leaving abandoned Eastern side of continent
Where someone treated as though
Four years old again
So went ballistic
In own way
Like a spoiled little brat child
Devil's spawn
Sins of a fast reader
Greetings of turmoil will come
Come all over you
Tsunami in poet
Putting something to sleep
Permanently
For North America's sake
It was good.
