A Day of a Mother
From the moment I felt that touch of your arms
Cradling me with such security neutralizing my alarms
But as time progresses they were gentle touches that steer
As they navigate me through those tempestuous pressured by my peers
From the time I saw that smile it induced on me such happiness
Its luminance lighted my path, and certainly overpowered the darkness
Most of all that look of joy, beaming in your loving eyes
Reflecting such encouragement at all those things I tried
A voice that most certainly kept me alert in every instance
As those you were singing a tune to which there was an irresistible dance
And all through my life always paid the greatest heed to it advice
This allowed me to survive, especially when those difficulties arise
But in my moment of silence my admiration of you grew even more
As I sat and what you so organized did such a very important chore
But this I always remember and this was when you were at your best
Was that most wonderful performance as the household Economist?
Those were the times that of course all of us were very touched
By the manner in which you convert very little into much
It was like seeing before my eyes the unfolding of a miracle
How we all sat in our silence gratefully applauded you mettle
Throughout our lives there was never a shortage of honor
The is so deserving by you and of course each and every mother
Taking such time to nurture, survive the pressure, love, and to succor
Your day is always one that never seems to be ever over
