Return to the Lord our God,
Pay homage with honor and laud;
Since you stumbled because of sin,
And you are corrupted within.
Rid evil ways that make you grim,
Repent as you say unto Him;
Please forgive and kindly receive,
For in You I truly believe.
Then praise Him with your lips and tongue,
Words from the heart that must be flung;
Showing how much loved and adored,
That you are having in the Lord.
As an orphan no other gods,
For all others are merely frauds;
And we know that He has the cure,
From unfaithfulness that does lure.
The Lord will love you so freely,
That makes us spiritual ready;
No longer will there be anger,
That His wrath would spread like cancer.
It will feel like the morning dew,
That will be falling upon you;
And you will blossom like flowers,
Blooming gladness through the hours.
Firmly rooted like cedar trees,
And branches waving in the breeze;
While living in His shadow,
Blessings of the Lord will bestow.
