THE GIFT EXCHANGE

When the Lord Jesus died on Calvary
The temple veil tore in half
There was never any more need to bleed
The lamb, the ram, or the calf

His precious Blood takes us directly into
The Holy of Holies now
We all can approach the Mercy Seat
He has shown us exactly how

As soon as we give our lives to God
A great gift exchange takes place
We give Him our dirty, sinful lives
And He gives us His saving Grace

The veil represents the flesh of Christ
And we are to follow suit
We are taught to crucify our flesh
In order to grow good fruit

When we sow our flesh it has to die
So seeds can be reproduced
We live in a world of walking dead
But our deaths are Spirit induced

Resurrection power shall raise us up
He gives back our lives as a prize
What a gratifying exchange of gifts
God’s Word does all it implies

Each day we live and each breath we take
Is a gift from our Father Above
Yet the greatest of gifts was the Savior
The Son He sent wrapped in His love

King James Bible
I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galations 2:20

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
John12:24
