Benefits of Sports
How many times we have heard these reports
About fellows saying how their lives got turned around by sports
Being angry, hot tempered were being tempted to that gang leaning
But it was that art of boxing that has proven to be so life saving
And so it was that lure to the arena of the boxing ring
That these guys were able to get that feeling of a life achieving
So in this medium they were able to find a way through this maze
And in this they were able to get the financial reward that it pays
There are some sports whose structure opened some eyes
To the fact that working with others can also make one satisfied
So it taught that working as a team there must be that element of trust
This to those cause them to shift their paradigm and thinking to adjust
Take look at games such as football and too at cricket
It is important that for victory there has to be a well coordinated unit
Because each move tactical has to be executed with such precision
As any lapse will give some form of reprieve to the opposition
As we enter into the area of track and field, the relay
The passing of the baton will determine which team rules the day
On each leg the runner makes sure all is well so he can take the lead
So that his partner can in record time to the winner's tape proceed
Another benefit is that as sports today has its tentacles spread universal
So those sportspeople have a chance to be so well traveled
There are now many who in one year traversed the continents
Not only being involved in a fierce competition, but too some merriment
Then too there are those lasting ties last through the years
With people and even their opponents for their active days
Also too they make contributions as managers, trainers and even commentators
So they can still continue to bring the game and such joy to the spectators
