Plead Unity
Something that cannot be ignored,
As a prisoner of the Lord;
For encouraging you to live,
Having a spiritual motive.
Have the kind of life to hold dear,
God would desire to be near;
And proves that God has called on you,
As you remain faithful and true.
You remember to keep in mind,
Always to be humble and kind;
Be patient and gentle each day,
Resisting lures that make you stray.
Lovingly accept each other,
Treating them as sister and brother;
Continue in remaining meek,
In everything that you seek.
Through the peace that ties together,
Bind you like birds of a feather;
Able to maintain unity,
While living in purity.
So with patience then you must cope,
For you were called to share one hope;
Of one body and one Spirit,
Through salvation you inherit.
There is one Lord to rule this earth,
One baptism giving rebirth;
With one God and Father of all,
Who will task and upon you call.
Favor from God has been given,
To each one from up in Heaven;
And never think of any doubt,
By Christ who had measured it out.
