ABE LINCOLN
HE WOULD WALK MILES AT A TIME,
TO GAIN THE TREASURE HIDDEN IN HIS MIND.
IN THE DARK LAYING IN FRONT OF THE FIRE,
READING AND LEARNING HIS ONLY DESIRE.
GROWING UP TALL AND STRONG,
TAKING ON EACH FIGHT THAT CAME ALONG.
SPEAKING words OF LOVE,
AND of God above.
standing tall over most,
realizing he would have to pay the cost.
on the country he knew he had to call,
so, apart America would not fall.
his life he did give,
so freedom all could live.
Abe Lincoln was a man,
who wanted to free this land.
