They tell me I'm bad
Have you ever walked through treacle
Tried to climb the dunes in sand
Or wade across a river
With all your worries in your hand
Have you stood upon the highest ledge
And looked down at the ground
Have you cracked the tablets open
And been haunted by the sound
Have you wondered if the knife is sharp
Or if the needle is over filled
Have you lay upon the road
Hoping death wish be fulfilled
Have you run from crowded rooms
In case they see your mind
And drunk away the darkness
That you thought someone would find
Have you smiled when you are sad
Have you cried when all alone
Have you ever convinced the devil
If he needs the dead you are the one
Then think of someone who loves you
Use them as your pillow
And step inside their mind
Next time you see a mirror.
Feel their love within you
And make the doubt go blind
Believe that you are valued
You’ll be amazed at what you find.
