The most desirable beauty
Lies deeper than the eye can see.
Beauty is beneath the skin.
Beauty is not on the
Surface but that which lies within.
Time lays waste to a pretty face,
Like a photo fades
When exposed to the Sun's rays
For a period of ten thousand days.
Superficial beauty is by its' nature superficial,
Temporary at best,
True beauty dwells much deeper
Than the eye can see,
Because it resides in a place
That only the grateful heart can see,
A package wrapped in beautiful paper,
Ribbons and bows
Will not show
The venomous serpent that is concealed below...
The glitter.
The most desirable beauty
Is not limited to what is on the surface
But what the package contains.
I love you not because of what fades,
But for the goodness your heart contains.
