the glory of a Dogwood tree
Shimmering in sun of gold
with light of a saved soul
A tree as majestic as can be
created for the honey bee
Blossoms of nectar sweet as wine
flowing back to mankind
A tree with branches bent
by heavenly power sent
holding our Savior's sorrow
cleansing sins of tomorrow
A tree I wish to some day see
that gave it's life for thee
Holding the body of Jesus slain
entering into holy Domain
