 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart
Where does the heart go when it is torn apart?
you let a stranger enter into your dreams
Always hoping he/she would at least be attentive
Would be there when they were needed.

Where does the heart go when it is ripped apart?
where are you hiding now, locked in an embrace with time
You sink into a trance, wanting chance to fix your heart
In the dance of a million dreams your heart beat slows

ever so slowly, then fades,  faster  and faster, but you have
left me with memories of slow steps in time my heart dying
where are you now i'm here waiting, wandering here and there wishing
once again you would hold you me close without shadows
of doubt  lingering in my mind, crying out, where are you now.
