Now I'm not hiding inside a dark poof old dusty lamp...
I am being treated like a genie
Its like i am still inside the lamp
They rub me up only because they want a few things from me
I was a good soul and a pure heart
I would and do love every living soul whether a human or not
I feel guilty if i have to kill pests, but i do pray them a happy after life as i cannot live in infestation
The genie soon realized its not a way of life to have a one way street friendship
So i stopped letting them rub me up the right way
Now i have been rubbed up the wrong way i realized who my real friends are
They do not just rub me out of darkness when they want something
They rub me out of darkness because they want me
They want my company and enjoy my laughter and entertainment
They want a friendship and not just a genie
I am lucky in life to have realized this
So many people still get treated like a doormat or a genie
Its time now to see the reality
Aladdin could have had his final wish yet he chose to set the genie free over his own happiness, but he was so happy because the genie was free
You deserve to be treated equal as you were created equal
Friendship is a two-way street and you both should contribute of everything little by little
To watch the years fly by as i see my friends now 20 years later from a beautiful childhood to adulthood
We have had tough times along the path, but because this is a real friendship we can always help each other through them and in many others that we may have to face in life
So do not allow your friends to treat you as a genie if you're being treated this way either straighten it out, put your foot down or walk away
You're not a genie you're a human, but even a genie wants to be set free
