Not A Weapon

Mummy please don't do it,
Don't stop me from seeing dad,
It makes him hurt so badly,
And also makes me sad.

Mummy please don't say it,
i don't want to hear the words,
'sperm donor' sounds so awful,
it makes me feel dirty and worse.

mummy please don't think it,
that i love you more than he,
for nothing could be further from the truth
I love you both equally.

Mummy please don't use me,
I wasn't born to fight a battle.
to be put in the middle of my parents,
who fight like lion and cattle.

mummy i do not like it,
i wish you could just see,
how much I hate this feeling,
how much it upsets me.

Look into my eyes and search,
take only one moment to explore,
i want to be a happy child,
i ask for nothing more!
