Into the Blue (Part II) – The Gift
Well here we are my beauty
We stand before the Blue
I know that you feel nervous
But I have to give this gift to you
Just the word of fantasies
I know would make your cheeks go red
But I loved you for your purity
So do not worry about what lays ahead
Wow, I must digress
I forgot how brown your eyes were
How much they shined and smiled
Just how they showed a rough man
How a soul could be so mild
Right, where were we
Oh yeah, this gift for you
It's just a little thing
To show my love was true
Oh God I feel your hand now
It's tenderness so fragile in my own
I've missed that touch so much
I'd forgotten how you really were the one
I thought that I was ready for this moment
Well, I suppose I am
Didn't think it would be so tough
But I'm damned if I'm going to stop now
Stop! I don't think I can
Please don't think me foolish
Or any less a man
It's just that unlike me
You don't see you as I can
Your perfume fills my mind again
It's like you're really here
I'm smiling through the tears
I'm always like this when you are near
OK, let's get this journey under way
The beginning of the end
Let us step into the Blue
Before I go quietly round the bend
I thought you would wonder about the wolf, standing by my side
But he must come with us, he will be there at the end
Well, I sort of talk to him
He's my imaginary friend
No I'm not too old for that
He's helped me get this far
I'll tell you more about him
As we journey near and far
Awaiting on the other side
Is a picnic set out for us
Thought we should start off gently
There really is no rush
The picnic's set in a special place
We will be the first it's ever seen
Remember we can be anywhere, anyone and any time
Come on let's go, just think of it as a dream...
