I haven’t borne you in my body…
Nor held you at your birth…
Yet I feel such a connection
Like sky must feel with earth.

Motherly instincts seem to surface
At the very thought of you.
Our bond cannot be broken
Because we’re using “Jesus glue!”

He’s holding us together, child…
Our hearts connect in love…
You and me and Papa Ish
Who is waiting up above.

Adoption means I get to choose
And I have chosen you…
Another child to bless my life…
One I’ve grown accustomed to.

The sweet Spirit of adoption
Is apparent through The Word
We are God’s adopted family…
Yes, heart adoption has occurred!

As a heart adopted mother,
It truly pleasures me to say
I really love you, Liny-girl…
