Salvation
Where is the wise man?
Where is the scholar?
Where is a good plan,
To make a dollar?
Where is the speaker,
Persuasive today;
Who is a seeker,
Leads you not astray.
Wisdom of this earth,
That many follow;
Having no real worth,
Is hard to swallow.
Worldly wisdom hides,
The wisdom from God;
Just like flowing tides,
Or ice that has thawed.
God chose to proclaim,
What is thought as weak;
Put the strong to shame,
Although we are meek.
You are in the Lord,
Who gave us wisdom;
To be in accord,
Within His Kingdom.
What earth despises,
God gives salvation;
And has surprises,
In a Revelation.
