Hush

Hush little girl…………
Close those eyes………
Sleep till morning……
Silence those cries………
Let me tell you a story of once a little girl,
Who thought so perfect…
Through those eyes………
So blue………
A mother, a father,
No grandfather.. But a grandmother too,
Who learned of anger and death?
But that of love too…
Too much love, for that of a little girl…
Who can see evil there within…
Sitting behind those eyes of some
A judgment that came early in…
The sight to see the colours,
Of what one can behold…
Whether bright,
Or whether pure cold…
Spoke to angels…
Face to face………
Asked for forgiveness…
For futures sake?
Granted or not she grew
To a mother and a wife,
Still controlling love…
For that perfect life!
Reality struck,
Perfect is not known…
Amongst the mortals she is stuck with,
Amongst the family she knows……
Love turns to hate!
She somehow controls,
Hold on and bite?
Or unleash and let go?
Is her mind tainted in the view of her loved?
Or does she see too much?
Or should they know the pain within?
Should she tell them such???
She opts for their denial,
Their voluntary blindness,
But one day……
That's the benefit of hindsight.
One little girl in a world so powerful
Holds no significant stand,
For that little girl with eyes of blue…
Needs that other hand.
