Once Upon Your Mind
Rewinding moments still live on
Where treasured thoughts are much upon
An older brow once Brown now Gray
Recalls what most will wish had stayed
Young and free from whence you came
A place today just not the same
As once upon your mind you ran
Without a care, with no made plans
Here the world was a stones throw
Across a pond where one could go
To be alone, a place called home
Of secrets one, of many owned
Here you drew of plans to be
Leaving your mark, as destiny
Was yours to ride upon winged horse
Here your dreams charted the course
Life would change but not your mind
As still you hold to where one finds
A place unlike, distinct, all yours
Throughout this day, still fresh to tour
