 God's Love Through Poetry

When I was but a child
you stood to me ten feet tall
and you protected me
lifting me up from each fall.


Then I grew into a know it all
and you seemed out of touch
I didn't need your protection
or your love so much.

For I seen each thing wrong
you where full of flaws
I tried to understand
how could I have not saw.

Now if, heaven could have waited
just one more day
I would be able to tell you
all the things I didn't say.
