Revenge never reconciles us To God or to His plan. For He alone reserves the right To always avenge man.
Betrayal by someone we trust Hurts and humiliates... Yet wasn’t Christ, Himself, betrayed And see the stance He takes.
We can’t tend to beds of roses Without touching on a thorn. Skies aren’t always painted blue... We’ll face that sudden storm.
God doesn’t promise mountain tops Without a valley low... But He does promise to be right there To soften each hard blow.
I choose never to let Satan steal My joy and peace of mind. If someone treats me less than fair I’ll just be much more kind.
I’ll take the Word of God’s advice And I won’t even know Or notice when folks do me wrong... My wounds will never show.
Through Christ I can contain myself... I’m bigger and I’m better. Life can only bring me down If deceit becomes my debtor.
I choose not to lose or lay aside My daily walk of love. If Christ be for me those against Will answer to above.
I refuse to let the enemy Give all my i’s a dot Because it’s not I but Christ in me Who chooses to choose not.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 4 Love is kind and patient,
never jealous, boastful,
proud, or 5 rude.
Love isn’t selfish
or quick tempered.
It doesn’t keep a record
of wrongs that others do. 6 Love rejoices in the truth,
but not in evil. 7 Love is always supportive,
loyal, hopeful,
and trusting.
Matthew 6:14-15 (New Living Translation)
“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. “
Colossians 3:12-14
“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”
