You Are but One
His will to make the best of things
A soul unique, His song to sing
A melody with many parts
A masterpiece, His work of art
He penciled every thought He had
Making sketch all His to have
To love like Him, to extend hands
To reach as did The Son of Man
Like child you ran and run this day
Away from things with heart dismayed
If stop you did you'd come to know
A better place of Life His sowed
Distinct is what was made of you
A piece of Him who also knew
Your day this day has brought such troubles
Mindset, setbacks, has burst as bubble
Be still and keep what you now read
A word but His to intercede
Embrace this word with seven letters
A place of warmth, of His much better
Lay these burdens down and see
That with this Love He sets slaves free
You He made to be what he conceived
If given thought, if just believed
You are but one carved from what formed
The world when all things too were born
A child that's grown to know, to see
Life's debt not, life's very seed
