HOBBIT DREAMS

HOBBIT DREAMS

The shadows of summer, have numbered but a few
Walking through fields of lilac-penciled dew
As we unraveled spools of laughter; I chased you
But, there's still today so remember, carpe diem

Shhh, deep in the fog across the bridge of time
Our serenade fades into the gold of summer's clime
It travels inner thoughts that sing a lazy chime
Like songs sliding rhythmically from the sunset

We drew life prints on a tree; funny faces carved in blue
You and I, being silly as if we had nothing more to do
Just branches of free spirits on our own avenue
Someday, we'll become the centerpiece of the future

Meet me at the highest peak of goodbye and hello
We'll skip across the rainbow just inside the yellow
In our vein of amber clouds with smiles of sun-mellow
Living, loving and just being; always, just being
