Let Us Make A Nest

Like a flock of birds
rushing straight towards your heart
she'll carry you places
make you play the part
of a prince
never seen such a meteor before
or since

beautiful rose
and
sparkling star
filling you full with her fragrance
your head warmed with her sun
you feel her everywhere
her softer voice drowns out the cacophony of noise
that is everyone

she makes you feel comforted when the world is way too large
and yet you hear the rush of her wings
so that every time she's near
her heart is soaring high with you
as both your faces touch the sky

it becomes clear
she is
your beautiful rose
your sparkling star
instinctively drawn to you

you're two paired birds, you are
forever friends
twosome turtle doves
she surrounds you with her feathered love
in your heart you feel this beating
"let us make a nest."

from a prompt...simple and straight forward adoration of a singular heart.
