Generously and Cheerfully
The farmer that plants a few seeds,
Has merely just very few needs;
With the harvest that he will yield,
As he brings it in from the field.
But the farmer that plants a lot,
From the blessing that he had got;
From God will yield more in return,
Receiving a harvest to yearn.
As each of you should also give,
Whatever you feel fit to live;
Do not feel sorry or with guilt,
Such a small portion had been built.
God would love a cheerful giver,
Even a bit he can sever;
Than a man having a sad heart,
Who has much that he will depart.
God gives overflowing kindness,
Within His grace and blessedness;
In fact you can expect in return,
At least ten fold that you will earn.
When you have all you desire,
You can do more with your fire;
Improve on your spiritual health,
As God will increase of your wealth.
The righteous people freely give,
To the poor wherever they live;
His righteousness is forever,
A bond with God will not sever.
