When I was alone and feeling down who did I call? You.
Not any of my fair weather friends. Only you matter.
You’re the only one I thought to call.
You came back to me. Didn’t think you would.

Now you’re here, sitting alongside of me.
I know you’re all that really matters to me.
My troubles got so hard I was crazy.
Then out of the blue I thought of you
The crazy thing is I left you.
Yet when I was alone and feeling down. Who did I call ?
You. Didn’t think you’d come, yet here you sit.

You’re talking and I’m listening, for real this time.
All the other times I never listened.
Who did I think I was? Never understood me
How could I know how to love you. I walked away.
Yet who did I call when I was alone and down?
You who had no reason to love me.
Yet here we are at the start once again.
Whoever I am I love you.
