View From Her Window
As she gazed out the window
Her world was bright
She anxiously waited for you to come
Hoping and planning so much for you
Thinking only of good times
Past and times to come
You were only hers
For a short while
That was the way it was intended
When you left
She gazed out the window
Her world was light
But suddenly faded to dark
Thinking of when she'd see you again

*Note- little did I know when I wrote this poem, View From Her Window, June 23, 2012 that two years later that the lady in the picture would be me. Sadly I had the sudden passing of my soul mate. The date was November 28, 2014.
