Manner in which PreachedI was gentle and very kind, With having such a peace of mind; While in the midst around you, From each and every day through. As a nurse treasures a child, Within her arms tender and mild; Giving dearly and loving care, To a calm blessing laying there. I was very well pleased to impart, The Gospel I etched in my heart; For showing how much in control, Jesus Christ has over my soul. He became very dear to me, For now I have insight to see; The number of my mistakes in sum, And the vision of what will come, I understand and now regret, But confessed and no longer fret; Of what I have done in the past, Into the sea Jesus did cast. So now I work both night and day, Looking to the Lord as I pray; For the burden is gone from lust, Since it is Christ that I now trust. So I preach the Gospel of God, Teaching how to honor and laud; Giving you my personal touch, For the love that He has so much. Copyright © 2012 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
