Righteous Company
From His mouth the Lord gives wisdom,
Whence His throne up in His kingdom;
As knowledge and understanding,
Always constantly expanding.
He holds it for righteous people,
Of those who uphold the Gospel;
While professing the Good News,
Awaiting with heavenly views.
He is a shield for those who walk,
With integrity how they talk;
In order for guarding the path,
Where evil does lurk with its wrath.
He watches over godly ones,
All the righteous daughters and sons;
So you know what is fair and just,
And why in Him you put your trust.
Wisdom will come into the heart,
Engraving for you to impart;
As knowledge is pleasing the soul,
That lets His Spirit keep control.
His foresight is protecting you,
As understanding will guard you through;
Where evil speaks devious things,
Upon the path where darkness brings.
So walk on the pathway of good,
Doing what is right that you should;
Stay on where righteous people walk,
Exchanging knowledge as you talk.
