Comfort
Praise God Father of our Lord,
To whom is beloved and adored;
Jesus Christ the Anointed One,
As His only begotten Son.
The God who gives us all comfort,
Helps us through times when we are hurt;
As a Father with forgiveness,
Compassion showing His kindness.
He comforts us when we suffer,
And shields us when things get tougher;
For He helps by easing the pain,
Comforting from the stress and strain.
Other people can never cope,
Because their faith does not have hope;
So they will suffer day and night,
Because they are not near the light.
But no need to try to condemn,
Rather we give comfort to them;
The same comfort that is from God,
To whom we give honor and laud.
For Christ suffered for us so much,
God has given His gentle touch;
For acting on behalf of Him,
Helping others not to feel grim.
It brings comfort and salvation,
As a spiritual foundation;
Strengthening us as we endure,
Preventing making a detour.
