Of the Recession
There is this cry in all the corners of this land
That the recession has each country firmly in its hand
So many people in them feel despair and take no delight
As government s resort to implement budgets that seem to have some spite
It is quite apparent that they need to cut back on expenditure
Now there is that plan to get some saving by any measure
Hope that with this in progress there will be a positive effect
That will have such an impact so there will be a closure in the deficit
Why do they take these moments to always increase taxation?
Knowing full well that lots of the populace will be faced with a problem
Now having to dig deeper as things now seem harder to get
As this burden will most certainly bit into a depleting budget
But as people we tend not to see the prevarication of a politician
And so we more often fall into their verbally created chasm
But when one thinks deeper will see that those were the word of a dreamer
Then the reality hits home that you are your own financial savior
Those promises were only window dressings for being elected
But after time what situation would ever seem to get corrected
But whilst you struggle in life's quicksand with nowhere to set
There is one thing certain and that is who will get a sure pay check
But nothing ever happen without any type of warning to prepare
Yes those signs of the recession were so glaringly there
Maybe they thought that it may be only a nine day wonder
And that the situation will return to normal quite sooner
Well we can see that its visit has been certainly been given an extension
And that it seems to have formed with some places an association
So people sit, think and come up with some measures
That will turn this time into one that can be considered treasures.
