6) THE SPARK OF TRUST

(This is the hurting one speaking )

Even though right now I still feel so afraid ..

Somehow a spark of trust has risen - out of the ashes of my ruins .

By the way - that's all I have to offer ..

And I know that raking through them will cause more pain..

But somehow I feel safe for a while

Just as long as you promise to be here for me ..

Tell me you won't run away -

Tell me - I need to know - 'cos it gets messy at times ..

And sometimes in my fear I lash out -even at my friends .

I don't mean to - but they run ...

So if that is you - tell me now -

While the walls and the bolts are still in place ...

Because I may never allow myself to open them again

If you won't stay .

And if you are telling me the HELPER is all-powerful -

And HE is able - and willing to help me ..

Then I must know that - you believe - that He can help you too ..

Because - somehow I know - that trusting Him

Means - I must trust in you as well .

So reassure me now ..

That you won't run .. no matter what

You won't run ...
