So pure and oh so sweet,
looking at him asleep my heart skipped a beat.
He awakened and sweetly yawned,
i was lifted to the moon and beyond.
I counted each finger and toe,
i held him so tight to not let go.
His smile lit up the room,
with him around i felt no gloom.
Too soon comes time for the day,
back to Heaven he's lifted away.
Because i know all too soon is why,
he'll spread his feathery wings and fly.
My Special Angel that sleeping beauty,
this time my Guardian in Heaven he'll be.
Now i can't hold him i pray for sleep,
so no more i will weep!
