An Attic is a treasure chest of memories told
of days gone by worth much more than gold
A Love who once was the first in younger years
brings to one's heart sweet smiling tears
An Old Picture forgotten in an album of love
scores back memories of blue skies above
Innocent Days of running and playing in the sun
like future dreams of hope forever on the run
Certificates and Diplomas turned yellowish gray
depicts the highlight of an honorable day
A flower corsage pressed within pages of a book
resembles vows of love that once was took
Love Letters tied with ribbons of gold and blue
salutes scores of freedom to a country true
An Old Attic still standing weathered and beaten
transcribes treasures of life forever written..
