Merciful God
Because His compassion and love,
God knows just what we are made of;
He bears in mind that we are dust,
But corrupted with sinful lust.
Short lived as grass is human life,
That is filled with toils and strife;
It will blossom like a flower,
And then whither in an hour.
Over the flower the wind blows,
Picks up the thistles a seed grows;
Or birds will carry to someplace,
To start a news life with His grace.
As the old flower disappears,
There will be no sorrow or tears;
Since there is no longer a sign,
With no trace at all on the vine.
But within His mercy and grace,
God has compassion in His face;
He sees the seed begins anew,
If the fear is within His view.
Everlasting life for those that fear,
With knowing that the Lord is near;
Passed down from each generation,
As the faith builds a foundation.
The Lord set His throne in Heaven,
Where the salvation is given;
As His kingdom rules over all,
Check the foundation does not fall.
