It’s been brought to my attention
The Last Supper turned a page
And currently we’re standing on
The after supper stage.
If we note the words of Jesus
As He offers up the bread.
“This is my body, broken for you,”
Is what our Savior said.
The body broken by the hands
Of those who caused His pain
Is the body that was sown to death
And the body we can claim
To free us from death and disease
And the ravages of sin
He carried all the wrath of God
To usher mankind in…
Into the spiritual level…
The after supper stage.
He bore the body of the earthly
Then supernaturally turned the page
To establish a new covenant
By the precious blood He shed…
For He put on a brand new body
When God raised Him from the dead!
And so shall we that follow Him
No grave can hold us down!
A body buried in corruption
Shall be incorruption bound!
A seed sown in human weakness
Shall be raised in Godly power.
O, can we understand that we
Are in the after supper hour?
Our place in Heaven is secured
Bought and paid for by the Son.
All that is required of us
Is to incorporate what's done.
So when we take the bread and wine…
Let our hearts and minds engage
In thankfulness and gratitude
For this after supper stage.

1 Corinthians 10:16
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion
of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break,
is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
Luke 22:19
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it,
and gave unto them, saying, This is my body
which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1 Corinthians 11:25
In the same way, AFTER SUPPER he took the cup, saying,
"This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this,
whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
1 Corinthians 15: 35-38 35But someone may ask, “How are the dead raised?
With what kind of body will they come?” 36How foolish!
What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37When you sow, you do not plant the body that WILL BE,
but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38But God GIVES IT A BODY as he has determined,
and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.
I Corinthians 15:42-44
42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead.
The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown
in weakness, it is raised in power; 44it is sown
a natural body, it is raised a spiritual BODY!
