Too many questions

There are now too many questions about the answers once given
and our contentment is lost to the doubt in our minds
to many lies have now destroyed all that we yearned for
and each day that we live for seems mostly unkind.

Truth is misused and so often used only as a weapon
never to enlighten or help bring forth our dreams
for the speaker of truth speaks only as the victim…
when the truth is that his truth is not as it seems.

Our Prime Minister calls out for a united Great Britain
and tells us that tax dodgers are a curse of our time
yet his wealth was born not of toil or real labour
he just had to stand there and follow his line.

We all feel misused in a world full of users
there seems no escape from the torment within
so the questions we ask must always be of value
so the truth that we yearn for will be the prize we can win.
