Lord, I am so happy
That You created trees
I am almost certain
All of Planet Earth agrees.
They’re lovely to look upon
Shown in shades of green
But even more colorful
In a gorgeous autumn scene
In wintertime when all
The limbs are really bare
The sprinkling of snowflakes
Will summon quite a stare
They wear that certain sparkle
Display that certain shine
I love the winter blown
White look of knotty pine
You must have been excited
When time to introduce
The forest to the fabulous
And beautiful Blue Spruce
Then added the Live Oak
To this sun shaded scene
Standing with the White Birch
The Elm, and Evergreen.
The Cottonwood, the Cypress,
And the royal, regal Redwood
The giant Sequoia and the Palm
A well planted neighborhood.
The Maple and Magnolia
And so many sights to please;
Yes, Lord, I’m very happy
That You created trees.

Genesis 1:11-13 11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.13 And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.
