Turn to God
Do not be fooled by any gift,
It could be a major letdown;
Rather than something to uplift,
Turning your smile into a frown.
A perfect gift from up above,
Is from the Father and the Son;
And the perfect gift is made from love,
Through the Holy Spirit as One.
For they made the sun moon and stars,
But the Father will never shift;
Just like any wounds that leave scars,
It will stay put and never drift.
He will never change like shadows,
Shifting by the sun and the moon;
As the earth moves the shadow grows,
And as time goes shadows will soon.
God decided to give us life,
Through the word of truth to make us;
Crucial creatures to go through strife,
When we go balk and raise a fuss.
Remember Christ was sacrificed,
Because of our sinful lust;
And a means not to be enticed,
For One we can put faith and trust.
So you should be quick to listen,
While being slow to anger;
The glory of Christ will glisten,
Which will be keeping faith stronger.
