Then and Now
In most cases those who are considered the progenitor
Most of the times try to ensure that it's better for those coming after
It was quite evident by those who lived in the period of slavery
Later secured some land to leave for their offspring as a legacy
Lots of those who worked long hours in factories in adverse conditions
Endured this to make sure that they children got an education
So that when they embarked into a world that is changing so rapidly
They will be well prepared and so could function competently
But as parents one should correctly show that love and caring
But should tread cautiously and avoid that area of spoiling
Because they should know when they have come to the time
When the child's moment to act responsibly should be on the mind
It is so amusing to see parents now, who were children of an era
Where they had to work and struggle to get much less than an iota
But as time changes life got better, they give the children they gave this impression
That the family into whey they were born the table with food was well laden
Forgetting those days of commuting by bus, or had to walk
But on those trips it was so pleasant to have such a pleasant talk
But now that sort of interaction have gone into form of oblivion
Because not matter how short the distance the children now get driven
Today as people tend to be more caught up in that show of opulence
It seems that as one looks around there is greeting of silence
Having the money to buy those latest gadget s that have attracted the attention
No one seem to have any type or care or time for the other person.
