 once upon a time

Stone within the heart
 
 Heart of stone wants the lament of the world to touch it with love. 
The heart that beats without a soul,
 has never known what it is to be loved.
The world can’t see its tears bleeding within
.
 
The stone heart moulded tight in misery
Ignores the cries of its needs and wants.
Seeking always to find love that will impart
ways to open up his hungry heart. 
Wanting and gnawing at love
Needing it  to smash its way into his granite heart.
.
The touch of love came out of the blue
Breaking the stone right in two.
Now the heart is warmed every day and night
The touch of love revived a soul that arose
 Phoenix -like from the cold, cold heart of apathy.
Its needs and wants embraced by the power of love.
