SHIP OF FOOLS

The ship of fools  ploughs it’s weary way through the waves
Enduring stormy and peaceful water.
The fools aboard  cannot see that the ship they steer sighs in agony
At  the folly carried out upon its broad decks

Towering above in the deepest blue skies of daylight
and the ebony sky at night
A higher power the fools cannot conceive
has given them the power of choice .
The ship of fools ploughs the seas of mankind's minds.

Wishing and caring that just for a moment
the fool’s would open their hearts and see
That all their needs hide within the souls of each and everyone.
But relentless in their pursuit of self  they steer the ship as only fools can do.
