 once upon a time

TIMELESS

Time works its eternal promise of easing
hurt, though never can time erase
the memories of the olden and golden times.
Moments that are all our yesterdays yet seem
as if  that moment of holding you tight was yesterday.

Time can slowly pass in drudgery, then swiftly, time
hurtles you down through the years of oneness.
Loving each other, being there for one another.
Those moments in time made up all our memories.

Looking skywards and seeing you reflected in the clouds,
tears come slowly streaming down my face, not in pain
because time has worked its miracle of easing the hurting.
But always there will remain the memories of oneness.
