Those Roads

How often there is that feeling that bothers
Is that one gives the impression that one is at a cross roads
Standing there is the middle looking lost and in confusion
Feeling such that it is hard to have any sense of direction

There looking so pathetic and seems like in such a muddle
Looking from one direction to the next as though fixing a puzzle
Mentally drawing straws hoping that this may be the right decision
The one that may bring some ease in this very desperate situation

Then comes the feeling of insecurity that sparks that wonder
If there is a movement to the left will this brings some danger
But then again will there be some form of bright light in sight
If there is a decision to take all the leaning to the right

But then now the feet remained fixed as though cast in lead
Because there is such fear of what prospects may lay ahead
But no matter what keep in that memory all the time
That the road at the back be the past that is left behind

So all the while thinking and putting the mind through a shredder
Beating each brain cell trying to unravel the this life's enigma
As there is that tendency to remain static and look so defeated
And in the process it seems as though all fight has evaporated

Would standing there ever in the situation make any impression?
Therefore it is time to make some form of decision action
So hence that road taken after some consideration and deliberation
Must most certainly have to be paved by the using person

So when one's life has come to that point and hit that rut
One has to dig deep and find that strength in that gut
So no matter the road taken or the bed made to be laid
There is only one person whose light will shine or fade.
