SHINE NO MORE

Photobucket

Copper penny beacon
rises above a black treed horizon,
illuminating the tomb of restless thoughts
plaguing a tired wanderer

No sight could ever match
the color of her hair in the sunlight
but his mind recalls it now,
tears falling freely

Why hasn't the moon
plummeted from the sky?

Without her smile to
light up his world
he feels like

nothing has the right

to

shine.
