Tasmanian TigerTasmanian Tiger said to be extinct, but he sometimes can be seen, By a small group of Taswegians, reporting they saw our Thylacine, Has he departed his mortal coil or our wilderness his place to hide, Or was he hunted off the face of this earth, I'll just let you decide, Could he be in a cave hidden somewhere, choosing to hunt at night, Secreted away from we dangerous humans, avoiding the daytime light, Evolution or survival may have taught them, beware of the hunting man, Foraging for food in the darkness, a creature of the night when they can, Did we hunt them into extinction, are we left only with their D.N.A., Possibly that may be their comeback, when science can lead the way, Or have we have learned nothing about looking after nature's stock, Could we humans also become victims of earth's evolutionary clock Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
