COUNT TO TEN .

Before you say a hurtful word -

Always count to TEN .

'Cos - once the words have left your mouth -

You can't take them back again .

And often then the guilt and shame -

Rattles through your mind -

So - instead of saying hurtful things

Try saying - something - kind .

Before you knock another down -

Think how you would feel -

'Cos cutting words and actions -

Are something very real -

And no-one likes a person -

Who tears others with their tongue .

so - if you count to ten - a hundred times

It's best - in the long run .

But - even better still - than counting ten

Is to bless instead of hate ..

And to put the other person first

Will soon make you feel great .

When you forgive them - and release them -

And do them good instead -

It will be like heaping flaming coals - we're told -

Down upon their head .

So - be blessed today - in a new great way -

And you will find out then -

That everything will turn out fine -

When you count to TEN .
